The New Place is developing a fresh expression of church. Twice a month a group meets for Messy Church and other activities – for details of this please see the ‘Whats on’ pages. This year at the Greenbelt Festival, a group of people involved with this put together an installation called Heaven Under the Motorway. The group looked at what heaven could be to a community like ours living ‘under the motorway’. Many funny and funky things appeared – heaven in the park, heaven over breakfast, heaven among the kids, heaven in a Ps2, heaven in Bristol City, heaven in the subways under the motorway. 
The group came along to greenbelt and much fun was had on bouncy castles and in the organic beer tent. Next year who knows, but for now if you want to see the installation contact Charity.
